The joy of opening gently, and the joy of closing the lid and hiding it. "Tamatebako" is a series in which a flower field made of florets is enclosed in a container with a lid by an iron artist.

The jet-black container has a matte texture with a beeswax finish, and when you open the lid while feeling the weight of the iron material, a vivid view emerges in your eyes. It is a treasure chest in the palm of your hand, where the act of opening the lid will make you feel better.

Based on the concept of "natural scenery in the palm of your hand," we created an ideal scenery that does not exist, such as meadows, flower fields, and mountains, with small flowers in a vessel that fits with both hands.

Norihiko Kamei completed graduate school at Tokyo Zokei University in 2007. He studied tea ceremony and flower ceremony from college and acquired Sogetsu style master. He uses natural objects such as flowers as materials to create works with an unprecedented approach in the world of flowers. In recent years, he has announced the "Hanayama" series in the Netherlands, France and Germany. In July 2020, the atelier "Amekita Kamakura" was opened in Kamakura City.
